Principal Dentist / Practive Owner

Deane qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 1988.
After a vocational training year based in Nottingham,he spent the next few years gaining experience working in differing types of practices across County Durham,Newcastle,and Northumberland before becoming owner and Principal Dentist at Princes Street Dental Practice in 1997.
He has endeavoured to build a caring an friendly practice team,providing quality dental care to all patients. Deane is married with 2 sons.
He enjoys running, cooking, big outdoor music festivals and the odd glass of red wine !
Leila Harris
Associate Dentist
GDC - 63987
Leila qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 1988.
She was invited to join the Department of Conservative Dentistry before her move to general dental practice .
She has completed a Masters degree in Restorative dentistry . This allowed her to develop further her skills in crowns and complex periodontics ( gum disease)
The emphasis of her practice has always been strongly biased in favour of preventive dentistry and the maintenance of excellent oral health .
In addition to her work in general dental practice , Leila spends a session teaching and supervising dental students at Newcastle Dental Hospital
She is committed to continual professional development and attends courses of interest nationwide.
Leila is married with 2 children ( and 2 Labradors !) she enjoys cooking, cinema and plays the piano .
Charlotte Hall
Associate Dentist

Charlotte graduated from Newcastle University in 2018. She has since gained experience working in Northumberland Community Dental Services and in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at James Cook Hospital. Now settled in General Dental Practice, Charlotte is committed to working with the Princes Street team to deliver good quality treatments to her patients. She is keen ensure patients are relaxed and put at ease during their visits.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys staying active through activities like running and playing tennis. She also loves exploring the great outdoors, often venturing into the Lake District for hikes with her Husband.

I feel much more relaxed than I ever did before.
I was new to this practice and distinctly nervous due to rough experiences in the past. I new I needed a lot of work, including saying goodbye to a tooth. But I needn’t have worried; Leila was gentleness itself. In fact, I didn’t even realize the tooth was out! She explained all the next treatment options carefully and fully; it makes such a pleasant change to be part of the decision process. All the staff are friendly and remember your name. For the first time in my ( long ) life, I don’t mind going to the dentist.
I have found Princes Street Dental Practice to be the best dental practice I have ever attended. An incredibly friendly and reassuring team of people, who are very professional and truly caring. As soon as you enter the practice door a warm and inviting atmosphere greets you and you feel yourself relaxing, no matter how worried you are before you go in. This is due to the brilliant reception staff as well as the dentists and dental staff who are always the best.

50 years at the same dental practice – Corbridge
50 Years at the same dental practice…….has to be a record
We think this lovely gentleman, seen here at age 5, is one of the practices longest standing and loyal patients. Attending the same Dental Practice for 50 years
DW moved to Corbridge in 1967 and attended the practice which was then owned by Mr Robert Waddell, between 1968-1995.
Mr Deane Graham bought the practice in 1995 and DW continued to attend the Practice, travelling from the South of England, which he’s done for the past 32 years.
The Practice team all enjoy DW’s visits, his enthusiasm, energy and good old North East banter is second to none.
Raising Awareness of Smile Month
Our Trainee Dental Nurse Kaitlin Smith ,worked with her colleagues at Newcastle Dental Hospital to produce this informative dental display.The display will be housed on the Dental clinic for all patients /visitors to view.

To increase mouth care awareness for Smile Month, Princes Street Dental’s Sue and Lisa talked to the young people at Corbridge Youth Club!
As you can see from the photos we had some budding dentists using dental tools to place Blue Tack fillings and hone their skills, whilst bravely tasting fluoride toothpaste from around the world!
….The Indian toothpaste “Dubar Red” was a challenge to the taste buds!
